When Mum emailed me saying her new baby boy William was already born, I was disappointed! Most people book their sessions in with me whilst they are pregnant as I only take on a limited amount if newborns per month.

Given the late notice, I discussed with Mum that my next availability was when William was 17 days old. Whilst I am MORE than happy to photograph babies that are a bit older than my normal range of 5-14 days old, I had to tell Mum that there were no guarantees that we were going to be able to get the sleepy and curly newborn images that you see on my website and social media.

I am so grateful that Mum was happy to go ahead with the session because in the end William was a dream! He slept so well for us and we were able to get everything we wanted and more.

Charlotte is William’s older sister and she was so proud to show me how much she loved him! One of the best siblings I have had to date, I am so glad I was able to capture this moment for this family…it’s definitely one to pull out when they are tearing each other’s hair out one day!

All in all, I definitely recommend booking in your newborn photography sessions well in advance but if it escapes your mind then just contact me anyway! You never know how it will end up and I am so grateful that I got to work with this beautiful family
