Elle – Photographer & Owner
Always Belle Photography is owned and operated by Elle Payne who began working as a baby photographer after many years of being a paediatric nurse at the Royal Children’s Hospital in Melbourne. She wanted to combine her love of babies with photography.
Elle specialises in Newborn Photography and works from a beautiful studio in Eaglemont Village, Melbourne. Her photographs are sure to create lasting memories of your baby that you’ll treasure forever.
When she isn’t photographing cute babies she continues to work as a nurse at the Royal Children’s Hospital. Elle has been a registered nurse for over 15 years, and works with children of all age groups including the tiniest of newborn babies. It is here that Elle has developed her love for babies and starting photographing them in her spare time.
Jo – Newborn Photographer
This is Jo!
Jo has joined our photography team after nearly two decades of working as a paediatric nurse at the Royal Children’s Hospital.
Jo loves babies and supporting new parents through the start of their journey! She holds an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) qualification and has spent many years in the Emergency Department as a Nurse Practitioner looking after babies and of course their parents.
When she isn’t taking photographs or working as a nurse, she is a wife and mum of two beautiful teenage girls.
Mel – Newborn Photographer
Meet Mel!
Mel is a mum of three and had been working as a senior nurse at the Royal Children’s Hospital for over 20 years!
It is here that you will find her running the emergency department or some days… the whole hospital and looking after some beautiful babies. After having her own babies photographed by Elle, Mel decided that it was time to combine her passion for photography and babies and join the team at Always Belle Photography.

Michelle – Newborn Photographer
Meet Michelle!
Michelle is currently in her 17th year of nursing in cardiology/cardiac surgery at the Royal Children’s Hospital and absolutely loves looking after children of all ages, however babies and toddlers have always had an extra special place in her heart! Once she had her own children, Michelle also discovered a love of nurturing new Mothers – whether it’s your first, second, third or tenth baby Michelle will really enjoy looking after you, your precious newborn and any other family members who come along.
Outside of the studio, Michelle loves spending time with her family – she has 2 daughters aged 6 & 4 and a pup named Archie. Michelle is so looking forward to meeting you, your gorgeous baby and your loved ones.
Lauren – Studio Coordinator
Meet your friendly studio manager Lauren!
Lauren has been a portrait photographer for over 10 years photographing families and babies, though these days she just prefers to photograph her own family and fur babies.
When Lauren isn’t answering your calls, texts and emails you will find her enjoying her time on her country property, listening to personal development podcasts, music and a bit of Netflix in front of the fire in winter! If you need anything at all, Lauren is there to help you!
Delta – Studio Coordinator
This is Delta!
Delta has worked in studio portraiture for over 13 years, starting out as a family portrait photographer after gaining a photography degree, back home in the UK. After steady career progression into management and training and moving down under about 9 years ago, she was lucky enough to become a mum herself in early 2023, which reignited her passion for newborn photography and saw her joining the team at Always Belle Photography.
Delta is a bit of a talker and loves sharing hints and tips for how to help you prepare for your session, so please feel free to pick her brain; no question is too silly and she has likely been asked the same before!
